Czech Republic
EXPERIENCE THE CZECH LIFE
The central location of the Czech Republic within Europe makes it a desirable location for both international businesses and foreign employees. Take advantage of the country’s excellent infrastructure and transportation links if you’re thinking about expanding there. However, you’ll also need to be concerned about adhering to regulations regarding work visas and permits in the Czech Republic.
The Czech Work Permit
You must apply for a Czech work visa, also known as an Employee Card, before you can begin employment in the Czech Republic. A non-EU citizen who has received an employment offer from a Czech employer is given the Employee Card. This rule applies even if you will work in the Czech Republic for less than 90 days.
Types of Work Permits
- The Employee Card – For long-stay that allows citizens of foreign countries to live and work in the Czech Republic
- The Blue Card – Work visa for highly skilled workers
- The Intra-Company Transferee Card – Allows foreign country citizens to transfer their work in the Czech Republic to higher positions
Requirements
- Passport
- Passport photos
- Travel insurance
- Biometric data (fingerprints)
- Work contract
- Personal qualification document proof

Application Process
Submit the application and other required documents to the Ministry of Interior in person on the day of your appointment. The Ministry of Interior will contact you with a response within 90 days. After the application is approved, you must collect the Employee Card (work permit) at the MOI.
