RAISE YOUR WORK STANDARDS

Slovakia, officially known as the Slovak Republic, is a popular expat destination due to its high-income economy, rising living standards, and resilience in the face of financial crises. If you plan to relocate to Slovakia, you must have the necessary permits and visas to live and work legally there.

The Slovakian Work Permit/Visa

Non-European nationals seeking gainful employment in Slovakia must apply for a work visa. Slovakia has a variety of job opportunities to suit various professions, and depending on how long you intend to stay in the country, you can apply for different types of work permits.

Types of Work Visa

  • Slovakia Single Permit – One of the most common types of work visas issued to foreign nationals who want to work in Slovakia.
  • Work Permit – A work permit is issued in Slovakia in some cases depending on your employment and situation.
  • Seasonal Employment – This temporary work permit is issued when a work activity does not exceed 180 days in a year.
  • EU Blue Card – Work visa for highly skilled workers
